ECOBORD edge-bandings
Plastic edge-banding with low environmental impact and excellent mechanical and impact-resistance properties. With excellent resistance to heat, it does not tend to linear shrinkage at temperatures below 85°C. Containing no chlorine or other halogens, it does not generate dioxins, or corrosive or carcinogenic vapours, when disposed of by incineration, even at temperatures below 1100°C. Recyclable, it can be disposed of in landfills without releasing substances which damage the environment.
The ECOBORD edge-banding is produced by Flexi-Bord, starting from a colourless formula subsequently pigmented by fully-automated processes. Flexi-Bord issues and updates, for each product typology, the relevant technical data sheets and the safety cards, supported by the results achieved through tests by external independent accredited corporations.

ABS Quality edge-bandings
Thermoplastic edge-bandings in ABS with high impact resistance and good surface hardness. The surface of printed edge-bandings is protected by lacquers with excellent scratch and solvent resistance. They do not come brittle at low temperatures. They have excellent heat resistance and do not tend to linear shrinkage at temperatures below 110° C. PVC Quality edge-bandings
Thermoplastic edge-bandings in rigid PVC with high impact resistance. They have good surface hardness with a low whitening tendency when bent or knocked. The surface of printed edge-bandings is protected by lacquers with excellent scratch and solvent resistance. They do not tend to linear shrinkage at temperatures below 75°C. Excellent light fastness to sunlight in glass screened room.

FINISHES: Flexi-Bord can match the embossings of most chipboards and laminated used in the furniture industry. Surface lacquers have high resistance to solvents and are constantly monitored for gloss and adhesion by means of calibrated and suitable instrumentation (glossmeter and cross hatch cutter).
GLUEING: The reverse side of the edge-bandings is pre-treated with a long tested polymeric primer, thanks to which a perfect bond is obtained with polyamide and polyurethane glues.
PACKING: In strong carton boxes suitable to contain and protect the reels, to ensure deliveries are received in the original quality.
